THE BLUE ENVELOPE PROGRAM
The Emerson Police Department is happy to announce that is participating with Police Departments around the State in “THE BLUE ENVELOPE PROGRAM”. The Department, through our Community Outreach continues to connect and assist all residents in the Borough.
The BLUE ENVELOPE is to assist drivers with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with keeping the organization of their insurance card, license (copy), and registration.
The program prepares drivers for the presence of flashing lights and radio sounds from a police car and provides instruction on what to do during a traffic stop.
Residents can stop by Police Headquarters and pick up the BLUE ENVELOPE, which contains a contact information card, a sticker (can be placed on back window), and the envelope.
