Officer J. Schwarz was on motor vehicle patrol when he observed a vehicle commit multiple moving violations. A motor vehicle stop was initiated by Officer Schwarz that resulted in DUI/DWI investigation. The result of that investigation ended in the arrest of the 23-year-old female operator and 27-year-old passenger. The subject driver failed to pass the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST’s) and was charged with violations of N.J.S.A 39:4-50 (DUI) along with multiple moving violations. The passenger was placed under arrest for violations of N.J.S.A 39:4-50.19 Circumventing an interlock device. Both subjects were transported to the Emerson Police Department for processing and issued a mandatory court appearance at the Emerson Municipal Court.
