Make sure your home doesn’t attract burglars!!

Create an illusion that you are home even when you are not!

– Use automatic times on lights, radio and televisions (turn up the volume)

– Have your phone calls forwarded

– Have the Post Office hold your mail if you will be away

– Mow grass or remove snow

– Keep garbage emptied and cans neat

– Have a trusted neighbor keep an eye on your home

– Do not pull shades all the way down or blinds all the way closed

If you go on vacation complete a “Vacant Home Check Form” with the Emerson Police Department!!
