The Emerson Police Department was called to a reported theft in progress at a construction site on Jordan Road. Officer C. Merkle, Sgt. R. Velez, and Det. T. McDermott responded to the scene for investigation. Subsequent to on-scene inquiries a 19-year-old male from Cliffside Park, NJ was placed under arrest for violations of N.J.S.A 2C:20-3 DP Thefts related offenses. Det. T. McDermott served the subject and provided him with a mandatory court date at Emerson Municipal Court.
