The Emerson Police Department was notified by loss prevention at an Emerson grocery store of a shoplifting in progress. Patrol units responded and the on-scene investigation resulted in the arrest of a 41-year-old male from Westwood, NJ. Officer C. Schiedle charged the suspect with (1) count of 4th Degree Shoplifting Offenses in violation of N.J.S.A 2C:20-11B and released him with a future court appearance at the Emerson Municipal Court.
