Subsequent to a public verbal dispute at a Kinderkamack retail store; a motor vehicle stop was initiated by Officer T. Solimando. The vehicle operator, a 43-year-old female from Oradell NJ, displayed multiple signs of impairment. The subject driver failed to pass the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST’s) and was suspected to be under the influence while operating the subject vehicle. The driver/defendant was placed under arrest and was transported to the Emerson Police Department for processing. The driver/defendant was charged with (1) count of violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:33-2 Disorderly Conduct (DP), (1) count of Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and numerous other motor vehicle violations. The driver was released to a responsible party and was issued a mandatory court appearance at the Emerson Municipal Court.
