Officers J. Schwarz and J. Chichizola responded to a call for service at a local convenience store for a report of a female soliciting for money. After a roadside investigation, the female party, a 58-year-old female from Park Ridge, NJ, was arrested for hindering her apprehension by giving false information to the officers. The female party was ultimately issued a borough ordinance violation for Peddling/Soliciting, and released on a complaint summons for Hindering Apprehension, both with a mandatory Emerson Municipal Court date.
