Officers J. Schwarz and J Dmirtuk were dispatched to Van Wagoner Avenue for a motor vehicle collision involving a parked vehicle. PO Schwarz spoke with the driver, who displayed signs of intoxication. The driver, a 71-year-old male from Emerson, NJ, was unable to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs), was placed under arrest and was transported to a local hospital for medical care.  The driver was charged with D.W.I. and was issued a pending court appearance date with the Emerson Municipal Court.
