On June 21, 2025 Officer K. Cullen took a report for a package theft that occurred on the front steps of a residence. The incident was investigated by Detective Sergeant D. Kearns, who was able to identify a vehicle that was used in the commission of the crime. Through his investigation, and with assistance of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office (BCPO) Intel Unit, DSgt. Kearns was able to link the vehicle to a package theft cases in Montvale, NJ and Farmington, CT. After further investigation, DSgt. Kearns was able to identify the actor as a 29-year-old male from Philadelphia, PA. The absentee defendant was subsequently charged on a complaint summons for Theft (3rd deg.) and was issued a pending court appearance date in the Central Judicial Processing (CJP) Court in Hackensack.
