While on routine patrol, Officer J. Schwarz observed a suspect vehicle idling in a closed business parking lot. Officer Schwarz observed multiple vehicle violations and proceeded to initiate a motor vehicle stop after the vehicle followed him onto the public roadway. The driver, identified as a 34-year-old male from Paterson, NJ, consented to a search of the vehicle, which produced suspected CDS. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and charged on complaint summons for Possession of prescription legend drugs less than 4 dosage units (DP). The driver placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing. In addition to the criminal complaint, the driver was issued multiple motor vehicle summonses with a mandatory court appearance in Emerson Municipal Court and was released on his own recognizance.
