While performing motor patrol, Officer J. Schwarz initiated a motor vehicle for multiple traffic infractions. The driver, a 44-year-old female from Washington Township, performed field sobriety tests, and at the conclusion of the roadside investigation, it was determined that the driver was driving under the influence. The driver was arrested and transported to police headquarters.  The driver was charged with D.U.I., refusal to submit to breath tests, and was issued multiple traffic citations.  The driver was issued a mandatory court appearance date in Emerson Municipal Court for the D.U.I and was turned over to a consenting individual pursuant to John’s Law.
