Loss prevention officers from a local retail store reported that their store was a victim of shoplifting on 4/08/25, totaling approximately $186 worth of stolen merchandise. With assistance from the New Milford Detective Bureau, Det. T. McDermott developed a possible suspect, and after further investigation, was able to identify the actor, a 34-year-old male from Dumont, NJ. The absentee defendant was subsequently charged with (1) Disorderly Persons offense for Shoplifting on a complaint summons with a pending court appearance date in the Emerson Municipal Court.
