On 11/20/24, lost prevention officers from a local retail store reported that their store was a victim of shoplifting on eight (8) separate occasions (September – November), totaling approximately $4,451 worth of stolen merchandise. With assistance from the BCPO Intel Unit, DSgt. D. Kearns developed a possible suspect, and after further investigation, was able to identify the actor, a 42-year-old male from Guttenberg. The absentee defendant was subsequently charged with seven (7) counts of third-degree Shoplifting and one (1) Disorderly Persons offense for Shoplifting on a complaint warrant.
