The Emerson Police Department received and investigated a complaint of stolen construction equipment. Det. T. McDermott’s investigation determined that the accused suspect in fact knowingly stole the equipment from the victim and was refusing to return it. On 11/28/23, the absentee defendant, a 26-year-old male from Newark, NJ, was charged with a Third-Degree Theft of Movable Property on complaint summons and was issued a pending court appearance date.
