While on motor patrol, Officer C.Murphy observed the operator of a parked vehicle slumped over, possibly asleep, while outside of the borough’s municipal complex. The driver, a 22-year-old male from Emerson, NJ, performed field sobriety tests, and at the conclusion of the roadside investigation, it was determined that the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he was charged with D.W.I. and issued a mandatory court appearance date in Emerson Municipal Court.
