While performing motor patrol in the area of Kinderkamack Road, PO J. Schwarz effectuated a motor vehicle stop of a vehicle for multiple traffic infractions. During the course of Officer Schwarz’s roadside investigation, it was learned that the driver, a 59-year-old male from Teaneck, NJ, had an outstanding warrant out of Maywood Municipal Court for $500. Sgt. C. Bova assisted PO Schwarz with his roadside investigation, where during the course of the interaction with the driver, CDS paraphernalia was observed in plain view. Upon further investigation, the officers located and seized suspected crack cocaine and paraphernalia. The driver was arrested and charged on complaint summons for Possession of CDS (3rd Deg.), Possession of CDS paraphernalia (DP), as well as multiple traffic citations. The defendant was released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance date.
