On 2/25/20, at approximately 1616 hrs , officers Mazzo and Scheidle responded to a call involving a 63 year old Emerson man that was struck by a NJ transit commuter train as he was crossing train tracks going home. The incident occurred adjacent to the Stop & Shop Super Market located on Kinderkamack Rd in Emerson. It was determined that the man had no life threatening injuries but sustained several cuts over his right eye and head that required medical assistance. He was transported to Hackensack Medical center for treatment.
