Loss prevention officers from a local retail store reported that their store was a victim of shoplifting, totaling approximately $480 worth of stolen merchandise. The incident was investigated by Detective T. McDermott, who was able to identify a vehicle that was used in the commission of the crime. Through his investigation, he was able to link the vehicle to a case in Piscataway, NJ and Franklin Lakes, NJ. After further investigation, Det. McDermott was able to identify the actor as a 56-year-old male from Piscataway, NJ. The absentee defendant was subsequently charged on a complaint summons for Shoplifting (4th deg.) and was issued a pending court appearance date in the Central Judicial Processing (CJP) Court in Hackensack.
