08/24/2023 | Criminal Investigation/Complaints: – Detective T. McDermott completed an extensive investigation into a theft by deception that involved the submission of multiple subpoenas to financial institutions and phone carriers. The incident was reported on April 27, 2023 by the victim which sustained a financial loss of approximately $1,750.00. Detective McDermott was able to positively identify two (2) suspects; a 24-year-old female from Homestead, FL and a 24-year-old male from Lauderhill, FL. Each suspect was charged with one count of Theft by Deception. The complaint summonses were issued to the absentee defendant(s) with a pending court date.
