While traveling on Emerson Plaza East, PO C. Murphy was flagged down by pedestrians who alerted him to a motor vehicle crash in the area of Palisade Ave. On 5th Street, PO S. Croal located a parked vehicle with heavy rear end damage and observed a vehicle stopped off the roadway south of the crash site on Randolph Avenue. Upon further investigation, it was determined that driver was driving while intoxicated. The driver, a 28-year-old male out of the Emerson, NJ, was charged and issued a pending court appearance date.
